About Me

I have always considered myself a 21st century Indiana Jones (no artefact stealing though) but I might be just a librarian/teacher (my actual jobs) who likes to travel and politely explore this planet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being kinda spontaneous I never know where I am going to sleep tomorrow - unless I have to go to work the next day - in such case my bed is my kingdom and final destination. I enjoy talking to people but can get easily overwhelmed sometimes - Couchsurfing offers just the right amount of the good things 🙂

Interests

Looking at the rain

I love jogging and cycling. Also swimming but I'm shy so waiting for my own olympic pool!

Heroes of Might and Magic III

Morning gym, smell of coffee and sensation of cold crisp mornings

Music, Movies, and Books

Paul Auster, Jean Jacques Rousseau, Thomas Hardy, definitely not Orhan Pamuk (actually The Museum of Innocence was quite good, mainly after visiting it)
Update: changed my opinion on Orhan Pamuk and added Elif Şafak on my "yes" list

Doctor Who, South Park and such, Penny Dreadful, Black Mirror, DIRK GENTLY! :)

Ian Dury, Princess Chelsea, Mabel Matiz, Jefferson Airplane

Movies... difficult to tell given my rubbish memory but make them with dinosaurs or a deep thought and I'm in :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got my bottom bitten in the middle of the biggest square in a muslim country by another guy.

Foolishly took a job with almost no salary in a new country and survived.

Never forgot my sister's birthday (30 and counting)

Countries I’ve Visited
