Married ten years, no kids, two dogs, don't actually travel much, love living in the mountains. Wife loves to travel. Between the two of us, we've had pretty interesting lives, which is to say SHE's had a pretty interesting life. Feel like I'm just getting started.

PHILOSOPHY

Do the best you can while you can. Invest your time in nourishing the soul for it is the only thing that lasts.

PREFERENCES

We prefer intimate gatherings and stimulating conversations and don't care much for wild parties, smoking or drugs. Moderate alcohol use is acceptable.

We're able to host a bit on weekends. If you're looking for a place during the week, you can ask, but weekdays don't work as well for us.

Intereses

I'm interested in how the world's going to turn out, but I don't think I can stay till the end.

On the lighter side, I play a pretty decent piano, always get a big response when I pull out my accordions, and can play guitar enough to keep it interesting.

I love to sail, but rarely get the chance.

I'd love to do big adventure stuff, sky-diving, bungee-jumping, etc but never do. Maybe someday when I'm younger...

Música, películas y libros

Yes, I like movies, music, and books, pretty much in that order. My wife reads books constantly, but reading tends to put me to sleep, so it can be an effort.

With few exceptions, I find if I like a movie preview, I'll like the movie, and vice versa. Also, if I happen to watch a movie that gets bad reviews, I tend to agree with the reviews. Prefer character development over blockbuster action.

For music, I trend toward the past, from pop hits of the 70's back to the big bands, and I trend away from music that is too loud or grating. Of course this is a gross over-simplification, but do you really care? I also enjoy the ambient sounds of surf or wind rustling through the leaves. Less is more.

Amazing? I don't know. Years ago, I traveled to Prague on my own back in the bad ole' Iron Curtain days. Seemed pretty daring at the time...

If someone could teach me how to be popular and successful, I'm still trying to get a handle on those two. Most of the other stuff seems to be working okay.
