About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I like to make awesome friends

ABOUT ME

I love life, my wife and kid, my Harley, being creative and making things with my hands. I'm a world traveler, a photographer, artist, designer, dad, biker, blogger, scuba diver, adventure seeker. I'm also an extrovert so I find any adventure to be had is better with someone to share it with.

Oh, and I work with children who have intense behavioral problems for a day job. I'm a non licensed family therapist specializing in trauma survivors with PTSD and Reactive Attachment Disorder.

PHILOSOPHY

I life my life for my family and friends. But after the intangible stuff, like love and all that, I think I just want to help others however I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just signed up, so I'm not sure. Right now we have a family member couch surfing, but once the spot is vacant we'd probably be open to let others crash. I'm thinking about taking some longer bike rides now that I just got a 2003 dyna superglide, so I figured surfing would be a more social way to travel solo.

Music, Movies, and Books

yes, all of those.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been hot air ballooning and dune buggy driving with The Arizona Cardinals.

I recorded no less than THREE guest appearances with 2Tight crew, a dirty south rap group.

I shot a concert documentary for Little Feat in Jamaica... during a hurricane.

I scuba dived a sunken battleship off the coast of Indonesia and saved a young girl who was in a car crash in Bali.

I also watched my daughter take her first breaths, which was way better than those other silly things.

Teach, Learn, Share

Attachment theory is a growing area of psychology that we previously have known very little about. I study attachment and how it shapes development both physically and mentally starting in early childhood. I work with kids who have little or no ability to connect and bond with other humans and this effects their outlook and behavior in myriad fascinating ways. In fact, we all are products of the kind of attachment we experienced in the first year of our life.
