I think its a great way to meet people and learn about local life. I think meeting different people is refreshing and inspiring as everyone has something to teach you.

Books - I love to read, and here are some books that have really made an impression on me - 100 Years of Solitude, The Beach, stuff by Huxley, The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
