ABOUT ME

I'm Dmitrijs. Friends call me Dima. Or Dmitrijs if they want to irritate me a bit :)

I'm a journalist and I'm writing for Latvian media a lot. Mainly on politics and culture. This is why I'm not blogging - if I still can sell my articles why not to do it? :)

At the moment I'm studying theater direction at the Academy of Culture. And hope some days to develop political theater in Latvia.

I find it difficult to define the main things about myself there. So I'll have a glass of wine and then I'll try to make it ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Well, life means suffering of course. Does the person with developed reflection can disagree? But suffering is fun: you can discover a lot about yourself and the world. And if you do emotional suffering, you most probably leave a qualitative life, because you at least have enough time to think about yourself :))

But in fact, I dislike the phrase "qualitative life." May be just because it sounds boring to me and means not to take a risk. I believe it's better to lose than do not take part in a game.

I've met some people who use CS, because my friends have been participating in CS for a long time and are quite positive about this stuff. So I decided to experience too.

I'm keen on theater :) As long as I tend to mix up reality and drama I will not be surprised if in 30-40 years I'm able to offer you hosting in a looneybin. Then please bring with you some Pinter's books and we'll have fun! :)

I like reading several books at a time. Some were bought because of a nice cover, some because of amazon.com great marketing.
But the real expert I'm just in Russian literature of the beginning of the 20th century and the "silver age".
