About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn Portuguese!

ABOUT ME

I'm from California. I have two older brothers, both world travelers. As the baby of the family I'm trying to catch up. I study International Relations. I play sax. I love to laugh and to have adventures. For me, the story isn't so much about the destination, but how I got there.

PHILOSOPHY

"Life moves by pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once and a while, you could miss it." - Ferris Bueller

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm looking to travel and further explore Brasil and do it cheaply.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch surfed.

Interests

Music, politics, journalism, communication, anthropology, laughing, the beach.

Music, Movies & Books

I love comedies and I love to laugh, so anything that accomplishes that. I just finished reading "The Posthumous Memoirs of Braz Cubas." My favorite books are "A Tale of Two Cities" and "1984."

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I've traveled a lot, almost entirely with my parents. Now that I'm on my own, I'm looking for experiences that you get off the traveled road; what's beyond the tourist attractions.

Teach, Learn, Share

Foreign policy and politics. Studying in the U.S., my studies are pretty U.S. based, however, I'm receptive to all points of view and I'm am in no way, shape, or form an imperialist. As much as I like to talk, I love to hear what others have to say, and to listen.
