do good things
Me me me... I love pizza, swimming, coconuts, languages, traveling, physics, sharing, lama (well cooked), and many many other things. I used to love rocks (I studied geological engineering for a year) but we had an argument and I thought it was best to leave.
I started traveling only a few years ago and as time went by, it became a sort of obsession which forced me to leave everything and go around the world for a year in 2010.
"Le veritable voyage de decouverte ne consiste pas a chercher de nouveaux paysages, mais a avoir de nouveaux yeux." -Marcel Proust
Which would translate in something like... The real discovery travel is not defined by seeking new sights, but by seeking new eyes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I finally have my own flat (in Berlin!!) and can start hosting!
I love to move... Going out for a walk, cycling, swimming, running, rolling, crawling, attempting to dance, etc. I can also cope with sitting and relaxing if I am learning or sharing something interesting with someone else. I love physics (my field of study) but I enjoy even more learning about new subjects that I know very little or nothing about like theology, arts, music, history, cooking, love, peace, economics, biology, annoying oranges, etc.
Music, Movies, and Books
Reading is really a passion! Some authors I've particularly enjoyed reading: Tolstoy, Hesse, Orwell, Kafka, Wilde, Dostoyevski, Zola, Stendhal, Hemingway, Bukowski, Camus, Llosa, Poe, Maalouf...
Some music: Gorillaz, Metric, Mgmt, Franz Ferdinand, The XX, Radiohead, Nina Simone, Arcade Fire, David Usher, Muse...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quite a few! From mountain climbing in Bolivia's Altiplano, to fighting with the Cashmiri jeep-mafia in India, cycling around Corsica, climbing up Mayan ruins in the Guatemalan jungle, celebrating new years eve in Prague, sand-boarding in the Sahara's dunes, learning Vipassana meditation in Nepal's Himalayas, teasing hippos in Malawi, climbing Mozambique's highest mountain, working in a recycling cooperative in Brasil or as an Aupair in a polygamous family in Austria... The list is to be continued!
Teach, Learn, Share
My biggest passion is possibly languages, I'd love to help in French or practice English, Spanish, German or Portuguese with hosts/guests as well as sharing what I've gathered from my few travels.
