Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm into a wide variety of things: music, movies, travel, meeting new people, exploring new places. I'm also into extreme sports (on a very amature level) I surf, rock climb, cycle, hike, skydive (only one jump so far but many more to come)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2011 I cycled 1000 miles through Europe with my good friend Dave. We Started in Amsterdam and went the whole way through the Netherlands and Belgium and into France, Finishing in Paris 10 days later. These were some of the most amazing days travelling I've ever had. Cycling allows you see and take in an entire country and it's culture, not just the tourist areas. I plan to go on many more cycling holidays it the future.
Earlier this year (2012) I went skydiving. I took a static line course with my friend Ciara. It was brilliant! We jumped solo from 3000 feet with a short freefall and then controlled our parachutes back to earth. Easily one of the best things I've ever done. Unfortunately due to living away from home I have only managed to get one jump so far. Ciara is now on her 10th so I have some catching up to do when I get home.
In 2010 I took part in the 'Sally Rally Ireland' a 1000 mile road trip around Ireland in cars that cost less than £100. It's kind of like the gumball rally on an extreme budget. All the cars must be decorated in some way. Our car was a Peugeot 306 which we fixed up to look like a New York Cab, yellow with checkered strip down the side and on the roof. It was a lot of fun.
