You probably don't know me but you know my work, in fact you are using a system I worked on right now. I was a member of the CERN team that worked on the design of the Web. I am currently working on an interactive history of the Web as a series of YouTube podcasts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Actually my interest is in social media and this seems sufficiently different to investigate. I was the first person to really specialize in Web security, I have been working on that since 1992 when we had a hundred users. So looking at this site is really part of looking at emerging security needs.

Interests

I spend a large amount of time in my workshops on various projects. I recently built a replica dalek prop out of fiberglass and plan to make a Tardis. Before that I have to finish a clock. We live in a Victorian house and I spend quite a bit of time on restoration.

I saw the start of the Web and the end of Communism in Eastern Europe but the birth of my children was more amazing.
