I am an outgoing, fun-loving and free-spirited man with a passion for meeting new people all over the world. I have lived in several of the United States: Tennessee, Texas, Kentucky, New Mexico, Alabama, Arizona, California and Hawaii. I have also lived abroad as a teacher in Germany, Greece and Spain.
The idea of looking out onto a new view of life each day is very exciting to me. Travel makes this possible. Every country I have ever been to offers a fresh breath of air. Each culture reveals something more about how sweet life can be by getting "outside the box" of my own mind.

I remember how, when I was a little boy I would blow out my birthday candles and wish to see the whole wide world. This dream has never wavered in me. So, in pursuit of this dream I have sought out a life of travel and adventure. I have slept in a barn in Switzerland, hostels, resorts and cabins on cruise ships. One thing I have learned about myself is that I am more into the people of a particular place than I am the expense of my lodging. Therefore, Couchsurfing is a natural addition to my travel options. Staying with locals in any given place is way way more interesting than going it alone. The new faces are as important as the new places. I have friends in various parts of the world that I consider "family".
