Wants to Meet Up

This profile was written a few years ago and although a lot of it made me cringe while reading back I have decided to keep it. I am currently living and studying in Sydney. I am studying media/film and although I enjoy it I haven't had nearly enough time to see the country. I am hoping to spend my final year doing some couch surfing. If you come to Sydney and are stranded I would offer you my room (and take the couch because some aspects of politeness are frowned upon) otherwise I have housemates and not enough space to comfortably host.
Describing myself is always hard.
I Know that I easily get bored and need to move on to the next thing. Sometimes people mistake this for impulsiveness like when I suggest we head to another town for the next drink well past midnight.
I am usually up for anything although as I grow older-not everything. I used to think I could sing but people tell me [all the time] that I actually cant. I have no favorite musicians or actors or whatever-because these change according to songs and movies I am listening/watching.
I used to be a freelance journalist media consultant on counter human trafficking program.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I met one of my best friends Silvia Heer through couch surfing and before and after also met people who have remained really good friends over the years. Sometimes I am with one of them and when I tell people we met on couch surfing they can't believe it. I used to have a bigger house where I hosted people more often but now I cant host as much as possible but still meet people for meals/coffer and or usually drinks.
I had a friend who hosted a German and the three of us had a really great time [he promised to move down here]. His perception of our culture and ways was so refreshingly new it encourgaed me to give others the same experience. Since then I have met some really great people and made lifelong friends.
I also once lied to a German friend about some cultural things and he thought he was going to be arrested-it was funny I promised not to do it again to anyone but it is still funny.

Music, Movies, and Books
A few years ago I could not answer this question. I love foreign movies (almost anything will do), I listen to any music but privately play and love blues and country, and I love fiction over biographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I dont think I can write that here. :-)
However I was once visiting a friend and this little mouse kept passing on her carpet. I wanted to scare it by slamming my hand on the carpet and instead landed a DEADLY blow on its head. I do not think this is amazing 'good' and I am still traumatised every time I remember that.
