I'm easygoing and easy to talk to, but I'm a behind the scenes organizer.
My late husband was born abroad and I worked for several years in the MIddle East. As a result I have friends in many places around the world and have traveled pretty extensively.

I'm new to Couchsurfing.

Interests

I moved to Philadelphia from Monmouth County in NJ almost 4 years ago and I have a fun circle of friends here.
I'm involved in ski clubs in the area and play tennis occasionally. Staying active and physically fit is important to me.
I love the cultural scene here in Philadelphia, have subscriptions for the Philadelphia Orchestra series and the Dance Series at the Annenberg Center.
I'm currently working as a dentist in the Philadelphia area, but I'm nearing retirement, with that in mind, I'm making plans for simplifying my life and setting out to see the world.

I cook. But I love the restaurant scene in Philly.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a wide range of interest in music, from African (think Remy Ongala), Arabic, Indian, Hispanic, to Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Classical.....German Lieder, Swahili Taarab....it's all on my iPod.
I read the NYTimes and the New Yorker regularly. Last book read was "To Rise Again At a Decent Hour."
I favor indie movies at the Ritz.
