Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Have adventures, build memories, visit all of Japan's 47 prefectures.
ABOUT ME
Sometimes I can be a bit shy or hesitant, but other times I am super outgoing and adventurous. I love to travel and am always up for an adventure. But sometimes I am in the mood to have a cup of coffee, chill, and just people watch. I'd say I am pretty flexible.
PHILOSOPHY
It's better to experience and enjoy life while you can, and not worry too much.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just started. I can show people around Kansai, especially nature spots. I have a studio apartment, so hosting would be restricted to a single person who would be comfortable sleeping in the same room as me on a single futon mattress. (Or two people if they would be willing to share a twin mattress, but it would be cramped!) But I will provide coffee and lots of travel advice!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't had any Couch Surfing experiences yet, but I have been showed many amazing places by locals all over Japan!
Four years ago I hosted two exchange students from China in my home, and ran the exchange program in my city for a few weeks. It was an amazing experience.
Interests
I love hiking, cycling and camping. I am a huge outdoor enthusiast. I feel best when surrounded by nature. But I like to explore new cities too. I love to travel around, exploring new places, especially off the beaten path or quirky places. I like to take photographs, listen to live music, drink coffee, cook interesting food, and read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was cycling around Awaji Island one weekend in the summer, when my bike tire got a puncture. These two men from a gas station in the middle of nowhere drove my friend and I to our hotel several miles away in the back of their gas truck. The next day some local children showed us to the bike repair shop, and we bought them ice cream. The hospitality of the people on that island was something I will never forget.
Another amazing moment was sitting in a nook near the peak of Mount Fuji, watching the sun rise. That was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hiking, Cycling and Nature areas in the Kansai area are pretty well known to me. I like to take people on nature trips that include cafes or quirky restaurants as part of the trip.
I want to learn more about local customs, language, and places locals go to have fun in the areas I visit. I also want to learn about more nature, outdoor, or history stuff.
