I'm a former firefighter and paramedic with two grown daughters. I am looking to experience life to the fullest and make new friends in the US and abroad while sharing and exchanging life experiences. I love riding my Harley and started traveling through the many wonderful states the US has to offer. I get to see America's beautiful landscapes up close and personal. I also enjoy driving my 911 on some of the most enjoyable roads and byways around.
What I've learned through working and dealing with people in their worst and best of times is that in the end the goodness of people always triumphs and I am doing my part to pay it forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on CS to broaden my view through meeting new people from all walks of life and cultures and experiencing and embracing perspectives and values that might differ from mine and will enrich my life. I hope to share some of what I've learned and gained throughout my travels.

Interests

My interests have always run the gamut, from enjoying intriguing conversations about politics and world peace to talking sports. I love going to the movies and theater, good food, hiking, biking and water sports. I must admit I love, love riding that Harley and fast cars.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a wide range of music from R&B to Jazz, Classical to some Country. I grew up listening to it all and to this day I’ve kept my singing-along-to-almost-every-song ability (for the most part :-)).
I am an avid movie watcher and some of my favorite ones are 'Inglorious Basterds', 'Fury', 'Notting Hill', 'Saving Private Ryan', 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?'. Once I start watching a movie you will catch me finishing it, good or bad.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was honored to be part of the Search and Rescue teams dispatched on some of the U.S. darkest days, going to help after the Oklahoma City bombing, responding to the 9/11 attacks on the Pentagon and assisting with the NYC rescue efforts a week into the attacks on the World Trade Centers.
