Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I like to travel. Even if I considered a travel is not a way to know a city and its unhabitants (how to understand people in few days or weeks ?), I think to meet people is a little step to a better discovery of foreign countries.

Interests

History of course ! As a lot of people, I also like to read, walk and visit, go to cinema, a museum sometime, meet people, music... and have a drink in a bar sometime, video games... My interests are quite simples and standards.

Music, Movies, and Books

Easy to say : Star Wars Episode IV to VI (yes, the oldest). I also like Back to the Future, Indiana Jones (I to III), The Lord of the rings... This is for blockbuster. I recently (about 4 years ago) started watching german movies (Fatih Akin for example).
Concerning music, Queen, Wagner (Die Valkure !!!), Renaud (French singer with songs I grow up with), Muse, AC/DC,...
I am not sure to have a favorite book. I liked to read Dune when I was a teen. I also like french litterature (Balzac, Flaubert, Stendhal, but not Zola !!!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It's embarrassing. I am quite absent-minded. I forgot once my ID card just before having a flight. It is not necessary to say that I didn't leave with that flight...

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, this is my job ! I'm a teacher. My pupils are teenagers (15 to 18 y.o.). It's a pleasure to work with them. I am curious, not only in history : Knowledge should rule the world ! I would like to prepare a Ph.D. (Ancient Greek History) now.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good moment with mutual interest and then good memories ! I am a good companion, smiling, laughing. I like to eat and to cook, it is a good way to enjoy a moment with hosts.

I never hosted before, but I also can guid my hosts in Dreux, Chartres.
