About Me

Too much of a free-thinker, too carefree, too unwary, childish, naïve,... yeah, so here you go, this is in short what most of the people who did (not) know me back in high school (and most of my life) would say about me. Maybe I was just surrounded by people whose priorities were way too different from mine. :)

I left home right after I graduated from my high school and regret nothing. My life has turned into an amazing adventure and I do not plan on stopping to live it anytime soon.

Was judged by my teachers a lot, (almost) never did what asked to do and when I was supposed to talk about shopping in my English class, I somehow found a way how to criticise deforestation.

About my life philosophy; I don't really know. I feel like I'm looking for this something - but, maybe, it's not that what we find in the end to tell us more (if we find anything at all), but, just maybe, it's the process of searching what teaches us the most. I don't know what I believe in. I'll go and talk to that Something in a Christian church, Buddhist temple, on a top of a mountain, under a canopy of trees or while watching a starry sky. I believe that there is this Something, flowing through the endless amount of universes as well as through all the living things and the tiniest of the tiny parts of all that exists, but do we need to call it names?

After some time cruising the unknown waters of life and our world, I decided to start blogging about some of my experiences and realized I totally love it. Not that many people read it but still, I keep going because it's another thing that makes sense to me. Well, and maybe, one day, I'll be able to fund my travels from it, at least partially. Who knows?

One of my "possibilities" for the future (= I would really much love to do it) is to get a van and live and cruise the USA or Eurasia in it for... well... quite a long time. :)

Let's go, explore more of the unknown!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and learn about how they see the world and hear their stories!

I love meeting new people. One can learn so much, listening to somebody talking about their "ordinary" life can usually tell you much more about the world than your teacher in Geography or Social Studies class.

I hope that one day, when I have a place to call my own (even if it will be "only" the van mentioned above), I'll be able to host people from all over the world and listen to their stories, share cultures with them,... I find that the best part of Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can say I like really various books and movies and music. But to list my absolutely favourite ones:

MUSIC
- Aurora
- Imagine Dragons
- Two Steps From Hell
- traditional Irish music
- The Piano Guys
- almost every song which is electro swing
- soundtracks (right now I'm addicted to Tokyo Ghoul OST but it changes with time)
- Coldplay
- chill mixes from Pulse8 and Beam Tunes and so on (on YouTube)
and loads of other, this is just what I remembered right now.

MOVIES:
- Someone Like It Hot
- The Giver
- The Host
- Sherlock BBC series
- documentaries about nature
- lately I explored anime and really like it
and more, I like trying new movies, one of my new favourites is Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them!

BOOKS:
- Winter's Tale
- Leaves of Grass
- All Harry Potter books
- most of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories
- probably all Rick Riordan's books
- Great Gatsby
- Milk and Honey
and more and more, I'm an avid reader.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left home. (Literally, I left even the continent I was born on.) And was welcomed by the world more than amazingly!

Well, then there's the volcano-climbing thing, that freezing morning in Serra Nevada when I decided to have a swim in that unbelievably cold lake while there was frost on the trees around,... But you know, just the usual stuff. :D

Teach, Learn, Share

Learn? Yes, please! I love learning from people, I learned so much more from meeting and having chats with all the people I met on my travels than by spending so many years in schools! Also, if you speak Japanese, German or Spanish, I might try to have a conversation in that language with you but it will probably turn into a huge misunderstanding when I'll tell you something super weird and that, after you alert me about what I just said, I'll spend next 30 minutes just apologizing and wanting to put a tape over my mouth to prevent future embarrassment.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My culture and a lot of stories. If it's around Christmas (Or Easter), I can even bring some traditional Czech Christmas (Easter) cookies!
