City racoon on a mission to find a new jungle habitat.
My PhD thesis is f i n i t o (yay!), my apartment is cancelled, and all things are stuffed into a 40 litres backpack ..
Currently I am sniffing out the start-up scene here and there, firing out job applications, and looking at some projects of interest =)
All in all: I am open minded, energetic and funny person who believes that it is important to cherish family, friends and health, do something you like, seek out new horizons, eventhough they might lie outside of your zone of comfort.
Whatever works =)
Don't judge a book by its cover.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Bugger - I confess that I never used the site before, although I registered quite a while ago. But better late then never: Guess it is time to try it out! I hope to meet nice people. =)
Absolute couchsurf rookie. But I slept on a lot of stuff including couches, so I guess I should be fine.
Music. Making music. Eating! Making food. Nature. Traveling. Hitchhiking. Dancing. Reading. Photography. Oh, and swimming and all kind of sport activities that have some water in it!
Music, Movies, and Books
Ok, that was pretty brief, so:
- BBC documentaries about animals (love animals)
- Those great Woody Allens, Coen, Kislowskis, Kubricks, Polanskis
- Wallace and Grummit
- Rock, Rock'n Roll, Jazz, Country, Electronic e.g. Elton John, Billy Joel, Guns'N Roses, Rodriguez, Norah Jones, L. Armstrong, Yaron Herman,...
- Graham Greene, Klaus Mann. Asimov. But I must admit that I did not read much fiction recently due to time constraints. As such, I focus on essays.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent quite some time on a lonely island, 40 or so sea miles from land, somewhere in south east asia. Smuggled myself on board of an airplane through all the airport security in Kairo in 2002. Won a sailing regatta as a teen despite having the last position at the beginning (was a real thriller). Seen about 63 countries, although some of them very briefly. Ate a lot of good :) and bad :/ food stuff. Tramped a bit here and there.
Teach, Learn, Share
All kind of stuff. I had my fair share of travels, tried and failed to start two companies, had. some crazy jobs, and I love technology (bio/life/chemical/IT). It would be a pleasure to to share some experiences
