Lewd, screwed, and tattooed, these childhood sweethearts are taking over the world! (Or, at least, until we are old and gray or run out of money - whichever comes first.)
After spending a year in Central and South America, we realized that long term travel was the lifestyle for us and Over Yonderlust travel blog is HERE TO STAY! (http://OverYonderlust.com)
Erica is a photographer by trade. When not shooting weddings (or traveling! ...or blogging!) she spends her time photographing burlesque models, referring rollerderby, or playing tour guide to people visiting Austin!
Shaun has spent the last 5 years of his life working in the video game industry (both Blizzard and Bioware) and when he isn't traveling, he spends his time playing Diablo 3, Starcraft 2, or fixing friends cars (he used to be a mechanic).
We have been together for 13 years (married for 8) and the process of traveling has solidified it further. I mean, you REALLY get to know the other person when backpacking for sure!
We enjoy laid back people with open minds and love to have great conversations over a few beers. Know a place to go have an adventure? Count us in!
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” – Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have been on the move for a year and a half now and unfortunately do not have a couch for people to sleep on even when we do happen to head home. :( However, we LOVE to attend local CS events both here and abroad!
This has been one of the most amazing social experiments I've ever had the pleasure to participate in. Not only have I met friends that will be there for life, but I have had experiences that I would have missed out on.
While Puebla, Mexico was our first (and Rey was a BADASS!), Medellin, Colombia changed our lives. Cristina is now like a sister to us. Thank you for changing my world.

Music, Movies, and Books
We listen to, and appreciate, almost every genre of music but if you had to look at our iPod, you would brings at the number of times Reverend Horton Heat as played. :P
...and we LOVE movies. We have now seen movies in 5 different countries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys in the Bolivian Amazon. The Amazon had always been one of those mysterious places that I had always wanted to visit as a kid and it didn't disappoint.
Teach, Learn, Share
I always like to teach people about what it means to be a "Texan" and to bypass stereotypes. I swear we have turned into not only American ambassadors but Texan ones as well.
Shaun also used to be a mechanic and is always willing to teach you/look at your car if there is any problems.
Erica can also give tips and hints if you are interested in photography.
