About Me

I have lived in Denver, Colorado, USA with my wife for about 20 years. We have two teenage children who keep us very busy. We were destined to live in Colorado. I love the beauty of the mountains and enjoying all of their splendor. In the winter, you will find me snowboarding with my family at some of the best ski resorts in the world (yes, I'm a bit biased). In the spring, summer, and fall, (and sometimes in the winter) I enjoy playing golf. Yes, you can play golf year round in Colorado. It's not cold all the time in the winter. I love spending time with my family. The years go by way too quickly.

For work, I am a college professor and feel very lucky to be able to work with great students. It gives me hope for the future of the US and the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in learning more about the places that I go in ways that I couldn't do if I was staying in a hotel or even a bed and breakfast. I'm thinking I'm too old for a hostel...but maybe not?

Although I'm not sure that I will host in the next few years, I'm curious to find out how the whole thing works, and hope to try it out for the first time on an upcoming trip.

Movies: Good Will Hunting, Shawshank Redemption, Sing Street, SuperTroopers, Moonrise Kingdom, Almost Famous, Fletch, Up, Caddyshack, Gladiator, Star Wars (any), The Dark Knight, Harry Potter (any), Pulp Fiction, American Beauty, The Sure Thing, Stand by Me, Hoosiers, Tin Cup, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Graduate, Little Miss Sunshine...and way too may others to mention (I like movies)

Books: Catcher in the Rye, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Alchemist, The Road, The Crossing, Room

SCUBA Diving in the Great Blue Hole

Share...A sense of adventure and a good sense of humor.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My sense of humor and my openness to new cultures and experiences. I love to laugh and like to make others laugh as best I can.
