Don't visit, but LIVE in Barcelona!
I can be a bit quiet and a little shy, but I love adventures. I love new places and meeting new people. Sometimes I drive two hours to spend the night on the beach and go home when the sun goes up. I'm nocturnal. I sing at random without realizing that I'm doing it. I am a dog person, and I belong outdoors. I enjoy writing short stories, sketching, and painting, and eventually I want to be a writer. I am waiting to find something worth telling the world. When I graduate from law school in May 2011, I plan to practice immigration law in the United States. I am an advocate for immigrants' rights, and I recently took on my first asylum case as a student. Helping my client was one of the best experiences I have ever had. My only religion is love.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to CouchSurfing; I joined because I plan to study abroad during fall 2010 at ESADE in Barcelona. I studied abroad once before at UBA in Buenos Aires, and I still regret having only experienced the city as a tourist and only associated with other foreign students, always speaking English. In Barcelona, I want to meet people who can show me the city as it really is, and I want to be able to call myself fluent in Spanish when I get home. I think CouchSurfing will help me achieve those goals.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie is Almost Famous because the character who calls herself Penny Lane is so much like me, and at the same time so much like what I hope to become.
My taste is music is widely varied, but my deepest affection is for 1960s classics like Simon & Garfunkel or Creedence Clearwater Revival. As far as modern artists go, a few of my favorites are Ben Harper, U2, Coldplay, Ben Folds, Damien Rice, Jack Johnson, and James Blunt - but also Nine Inch Nails and Nirvana, and Mana and Juanes. I also have weaknesses for bubbly pop music and anything with a good beat - particularly reggaeton. I've recently been trying to expand my knowledge of Latin music in general.
As for books, I don't even know where to start! I don't usually read books more than once, and I've read more than I can remember, so making a list of favorites is difficult. I'll just say that the best I've read recently was Middlesex, by Jeffrey Eugenides.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Iguazu Falls, Misiones Province, Argentina. Its beauty and power is indescribable. I could (and have) written two pages on it without fully capturing it.
