Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm keen to get involved but am not yet completely at ease with having two children in the house and then inviting strangers in. The children are growing up though so I will host in the future. I'd always invite back people who'd hosted me, provided the trust between us was good (I have no doubt that's all of you). I'm sorry to be more reactive in this respect but I have to pay safe with my children.

Interests

music: I sing in a close harmony group. I go to lots of concerts (Bruce Springsteen, Melissa Etheridge, KD Lang, Maria Mena, John Fogerty, MIKA ...the list is enless and genre-less) My ambition is to see Tom Waits and Dolly Parton live one day - possibly not together ;-)

Poetry: I write and read (Billy Collins, Vernon Scannell, Ted Hughes, Shakespeare,Simon Armitage etc)

Sports: (hockey, yoga)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

walked to Santiago de Compostela (125 km - 5 days)

stood in MSG with my friend, front row slap-bang in the middle on Nov 8th 2009: the day I heard stolen car -live- for the first time and wept because I am alive.

got to Glastonbury and back to tell the tale! It changed my life.
