To explore the world and taste the fruit of life
My life is an amazing transition. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and while it is a great city, it never felt quite right for me. In a leap of faith, I ended up in San Francisco and plan to stay for a while at least, see where life takes me. I am not done traveling yet, it is nice to be someplace where perhaps I can grow roots. So I am looking forward to finding out everything this city has to offer.
I am in the middle of transforming my life. I really can't describe it. I am just in the process of going through the cocoon learning enough that hopefully I will be a butterfly at the end of this phase of my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Unfortunately since I live in shared housing, I can not host. I love everything this city has to offer so I would love to share it with travelers.
I haven't really had one, I have met people in the community. I am looking forward to being a host in the future.
and exploring what life has to offer
Music, Movies, and Books
I am an absolute book lover so anything by Tom Robbins and Paulo Coelho, if you haven't read them you are missing out. I am also a huge Shakespeare fan, so as you may guess, my interests run the gambit. I am into anything positive that makes me think and strive to be the best person I can. Oh, and I absolutely adore Shirley Valentine, the play more so than the film.
I don't have a favorite film so to speak, but I am more arthouse than pop culture.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was once locked in a castle so I guess you could say that was something that was done to me. I've para sailed tried (and failed) to water ski. Watched a sea turtle lay eggs, released some baby turtles.I've danced under golden full moons. Life is pretty amazing if you take the time to think about it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Things I know how to do well:
As a good friend recently told me, I am very good with the practical management of life, not sure if I can teach that one or not. ;)
