We are a couple of middle-aged academics that TOOK the step out in the woods. We have a small farm with cats, dogs, chickens and honeybees and try to make a living from educating, challenging and amuse people with the aid of great nature and nature understanding..

We love great food, wine and conversations..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We want to contribute to traveling for all kinds of people, not only those who can afford night after night in hotels et cetera. We believe in meetings.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

After having our first surfers, we find this project just as amazing as we thought it could be. This is peace and understanding in practical terms.

Movies: "Brutti, sporchi e cattivi" - the great film by Ettore Scola about a community living on a garbage dump and how their standards are.., "Welcome, mr. Chance" about the strange gardener

Books: "The bone people" that took Keri Hulme a lifetime to write, ALL the writings of Knut Hamsun, and most lately the book "The God of small things" by Arundhati Roy.
