ABOUT ME

I'm a writer who longs to live in harmony with nature--ideally working with land and animals in a sustainable situation. I'm from West Virginia and although I've been living at the beach for 15 years, I want to make a move back to WV or some other mountainous area in the near future.
I'm a healthy, hardworking, and more enthusiastic than most. I've done some processing work for some farmers in California, but I've never had a true sustainable farm experience. With this in mind, I'm considering the WOOLF organization, but ideally, I would like to work for a farmer who's looking for several years of help in trade for an opportunity to buy land or a portion of land for a reasonable price.

I would be happy to trade work for food, bed, a small stipend, and the permission to hunt, fish, and enjoy nature that's [POSTED NO TRESSPASSING] for most people.

My dream would be to be a major part of a fully self sustainable, Bio-dynamic farm-- off the grid, and not for profit. I want to work the land, enjoy it's bounty, and do it all independent of macro infrastructure like the power-grid, and public utilities.

Although I do feel that the end times are upon us, It's not my sole motivation to accept a simple rural lifestyle. If the world as we no it manages to maintain it's course and the end of the world never comes, I can't think of any other way to live a long and enriching lifestyle than to own between 40-1000 acres of land and living off it's fruits.

I participate by giving a hand when it's needed, sharing stories, playing music, spreading knowledge, and motivating others to increase their quality of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch surfed all over Wilmington area and some in the NC mountains, but no major CS.org activity.

Interests

Christ, all aspects of outdoors from hunting, fishing,and conservation, to dirt bikes,rock climbing, and gardening. I want to lean how to weld, professionally take care of farm animals and equipment, and I eventually want to live on a functional sustainable farm, and write books based on my experiences.
