Learn new cultures and languages
I enjoy going to new places and meeting new faces. I like road trips and plan on a lot of traveling this year and in years to come. I'm lots of fun very out going and bubbly. If I'm not a work then I enjoy hanging out with my friends, watching movies, the beach and touring big cites.I love learning new things, especially other cultures and languages.
"From birth, man carries the weight of gravity on his shoulders. He is bolted to earth. But man has only to sink beneath the surface and he is free."
- Jacques Yves Cousteau
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've ended up sleeping all sorts of places. Anywhere from the side of the road under a bridge and next to the railroad tracks to free furnished apartments and strange mansions on southern california beaches. You never know where you end up if you make no plans. I've also been fornuate to live in a wonderful old victorian with a huge attic space that has been home to hundreds of people coming and going, many of which ended up being very dear to me.
Anything involving the creation of beautiful things. Sewing, book-binding, scrap books, bird houses. I love finding bygone treasures and creating spaces filled with fabric and plants. Anything having to do with being outside such as surfing, biking, hiking, exploring.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Definitely all the times i have spent hitch hiking across the country ending up in places like new orleans and spending afternoons in lemon tree orchards in the yards of creole cottages. Vienna in autumn hanging out on rooftops overlooking the city. riding my bike from the bay area down the athens coast to big sur and camping on the beach.
