About Me

To travel the world sharing child-like wonder, awe and joy with others.

One day I woke up, decided to sell everything I owned except just what I needed to live, and travel the world. Then in December of 2010, I put those things into a backpack, left Austin, Texas to head south. I have now spent over 4 1/2 years traveling throughout the entirety of the Americas. Along my journey I have have had the honor of getting so many beautiful people to whom I am truly grateful for making my journey truly awesome.

In July of 2015, I will leave from Canada to head to Iceland for a few months from where I then plan to make my way south to travel throughout Africa, and then on to the Middle East and Asia.

For more information about me, please also see my LinkedIn and Facebook profiles:

I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the more I give the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake.

Make love with the fear.

Be a gardener of lives by nourishing their hearts and souls to blossom.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

How I participate?

I show up and give all that I have to share.

Sometimes that means I participate by helping little old ladies dance across the street. If people ask me to join their journey, I willing offer a hand and shoulder. Sometimes it's just as simple as giving a "free hug" or making eye contact with a stranger and smiling.

It seems that the essence of CS is to help build an intentional community based on giving and receiving, a community in which we can come to trust one another to share the best of ourselves.

So for me it's an opportunity to connect beyond social-cultural and geopolitical boundaries by what makes us human, and more importantly spiritual beings.

I have been "couchsurfing" for a long time now. Friends, roommate's friends, friends of friends, even the occasional homeless person has spent the night (or a month) on my couch. I have also occasionally spent the night (or a few) on the couches of many generous and loving people well before CS.

So while I've had plenty of "couchsurfing" experience in my life, I am looking forward to my couch surfing experiences by connecting with others through this website.

Swinging and sliding on playgrounds, rock climbing, photography, surfing, kitesurfing, languages, indigenous hand crafts, animals, exploring, discovering, journaling, reverence, yoga, meditation, spiritual expeditions, poetry slams, volunteering, hiking, biking, inspiring others to find their voice and calling, trail running, kite flying, appreciating beauty, healing, live acoustic music, improv, vulnerability, spontaneity, making and refinishing furniture, dancing, self-awareness, circus acts, genuine laughter and happiness, joy, natural organic movement, organic gardening, cooking, composting, wisdom literature, skydiving, enlightenment, accepting what is, surrendering, being present.

Music, Movies & Books

I love black and whites. Also, I am documentary fanatic.

I prefer singer/songwriter, independent, indie type music. I especially love acoustic music.

Choose your Own Adventure Number One - The Cave of Time, The Light in the Attic, or The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Which I loved since I was a kid.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Sharing my heart and inspiring others to do the same.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to teach, learn and share with others how to get out of our heads, be in the moment, trust thier intuition and be open to what can be created in the moment.
