About Me

**As I am currently in Barcelona for a part of my studies, I cannot receive any couch surfers!

Experience life in many different styles and settings.

I an half Brazilian - half American
I'm a pretty down to earth guy, very easy-going.
I'm doing my PhD between 2 Universities - one in France and the other in Barcelona
I'm go betwen vegetarian and vegan (mostly the latter lately).
I try to stay active (particularly by running, doing yoga, or biking)
I'm very "go with the flow" chill, laid back.

Positivity and Happiness.
And don't sweat the small stuff. Most everything is small in the grand scheme of things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been hosted a few times throughout Europe, each experience was great.
After that, I started hosting. I've hosted a handful of people. It's been good times with all my hosts and surfers.

I truly appreciate the cultural exchange aspect of CS. That's the only reason why I do it- not for a free place to stay (which is of course a perk) but mainly to learn about a place through the eyes of a local resident.

I have had a number of true and lasting friendships come out of CS. That's why I do it.

I love the beach.
I love enjoying a nice adult beverage.
Good (vegetarian) food.
History/language/culture is super cool.
Biology is super cool too.
I like all sorts of movies.
Teach me your language and I'll teach you any of mine.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually enjoy a good nonfiction book.
Mary Roach is great for the science nerd in me.
I also enjoy socio-political books(such as The Mole People, Ghettonation, Spiders of Allah).
Right now I'm reading a lot of academic articles, so no time for leisure reading

La Haine is definitely in my top 3 for movies. Otherwise I really enjoy horror and comedy. Its a good balance.
