ABOUT ME

Disclaimer. I am a quite sociophobic person. Yes, and also heavy-going (because I don't quite understand the meaning of "easy-going", many people at CS use it as a mantra). Very very unpleasant guy, shortly saying. :-)

In the rest I am kind of mix of techy and humanitarian mind person. I like computers and programming (especially Lisp), but on the other hand I like design and art (especially maps and Tufte). And on the third hand (omg!) I like science (especially science about live cells and space).
I feel I won't have enough time to comprehend secrets from all the three areas, but maybe I will be able to manage them into some functional combination and do contribution to the mankind.

Currently I am keen on data vizualization, vizualization of news. Work as a freelancer in that field. So I would like to establish new connections with people from newspapers world: journalists, editors, photographers, layout-designers.

But it is far not business-only-business stance I keep in mind, I am not a big fan of corporative culture/world, I would prefer to know people in a more relaxing way, for example when you can talk about some professional issues while walking, running, swimming etc. Maybe like ancient Greeks did, philosophers, you know :-)

Well, it is always interesting to discuss different places, cultures and ways of life! I live on the very border between Norway and Russia (on the Russian side). So different countries, and one can see a great contrast between cultures here, maybe it was that as a reason for me to be interested in such a stuff. Også, I definitely love Scandinavia!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Primarily I tried CS in Sweden where I got outstanding positive experience. I look forward for new meetings and story lines.
And it seems I hosted folks at my place, but I am not sure it happened with help of CS. Anyways, it is not so important.. Aint gonna make ad to CS, it's just next good thing among social web networks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think one of the most amazing things is a night sky. Stars are here, you almost can touch them, but you know you and your children won't be there yet for maybe thousand coming years.
