About Me

Hello there,

I am a French woman married to a Kiwi. After 6 years in France, 3 of which we spent looking after a farm and enjoying the company of many animals, we are back in Aotearoa for good! My husband is training in Wellington at the moment while I work at Christchurch hospital. I absolutely love my job and can't wait to settle down and buy a house with my husband in the city. I am quiet, tidy and I don't smoke.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people. I am not the party kind, more of a quiet person who enjoys conversations, travels, board games and laughing at myself!

Music, Movies, and Books

I can't live without music. I especially enjoy rock and classical music. Some of my favourite artists are Mozart, Tchaikowsky, Schubert, Strauss, Chopin, The Beatles, Radiohead, Muse, Emilie Simon, Tom Petty, Barbara, Woodkid, Juliette, Genesis, Beck, the list goes on...

I read a lot and I am part of a book club in Christchurch. I enjoy books by Daniel Pennac, Amelie Nothomb, Paul Cleave, Ken Follet, John Le Carre, Fred Vargas, Carlos Zafon, Pablo Gutierrez (I translated one of his books into French and it got published in 2016, yeah!).

I love going to the movies and I particularly enjoy French cinema, films by Spanish director Almodovar and movies from Belgium. I admire Ricardo Darin, Kristin Scott Thomas, John Goodman, Carmen Maura, Karin Viard, Isabelle Carre and Benoit Poelvoorde.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Saudi Arabia for 4 years as a kid, it was quite an experience!
My husband and I did a bike tour in Europe for 4 months in 2015.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Spanish and French.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to cook for you (I am not an amazing cook but I have mastered a few good French recipes over the years). I love talking, exchanging ideas and learning new things.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Jordan, Réunion

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, France, Saudi Arabia, Spain
