About Me

Of course I am open minded easy going person, whatever that means, just like everyone on CS :)

I love travelling, because it always gives me new experience which makes a big part of my self-development, and my life can't be complete without it.

So when I travel I love to communicate with locals to know anything new about their culture and lifestyle, because all cultures are so different and you never know how much interesting things can be found just in people's routine.

Speaking of travelling I also like walking, high view points, local places (hidden gems), bars with craft beer
(there is a music video about last ones in the interests section).

As I said, one of my interests is craft beer and since I like drinking craft beer, I also brew my own beer with my friend. So it is my main hobby for now which I would like to make our own business one day.

Besides I like music (different genres from rock and hip-hop to big beat and brostep), movies, snowboarding, skateboarding, high technologies, science and many other things.

What is also important about me - I'm a happy husband and father of 2 awesome kids.

My wife Lyubov is a photographer, you can see our travel pics taken by her here: http://klukvography.com/

PHILOSOPHY

I just want to have as little as possible regrets in the end of my life. so I'm trying to have fun and not to have regrets :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to meet new people and discover their cultures. It is much more convenient way to do it than trying to get acquainted with somebody in a bar. I'd also like to host but unfortunately I can't do it now because I live in small apartment with my wife and 2 children (not because my only goal is free bed).

As you can see I have only one reference, because I used CS just twice, because usually we travel with our children.

Interests

As I said my main hobby is home brewing . We brew mostly classical IPAs but also trying to make some experiments, like mango milkshake IPA, banana wheat beer, smoked IPA etc.

Also one of my favorite hobbies is making video, like travel videos, birthday invitation videos or congratulatory videos. One of my favorite - https://vimeo.com/202930890

I like music (for now my preferences transformed from rock to electronic music) and I want to learn to create it by my self. I am trying from time to time, but without any achievements yet =)

Now I'm trying to play bass-guitar in a band and also trying to sing in another one.

I like road trips and driving as well. The most powerful (and equally uncomfortable) car I have driven is Chevrolet Camaro . We rented it in LA to make some small trip on the highway 1 (along the pacific coast), that was great. Also I made few road trips over 5000 km each one around Europe, Russia and USA.

Self made beer is not only one thing that I do by my self. I also make different stuff for me, my family and my friends like party costumes for kids, bottle openers for friends, furniture (bed-car, bed-space station, etc.), interior items (like wooden light sign) and other stuff from wood or steel or melted aluminium or any other materials.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Unfortunately I didn't ascend Everest and did not swim across the Bay of Bosporus yet but once in 2012 (or 2013) I've caught the beer cap that was flying from opened bottle right into my face from 3 meters. And I've caught it with my mouth. It was really amazing.

Also at the age of 28, I retired from work as an economist to change profession to web programming. It was not so easy to start career from the beginning when you have two children but it was one of the best decisions in my whole life =)

I had amazing 3.5 weeks USA trip in 2017 with my family. We crossed the country from NY to Miami and then from LA to San Francisco and back.
