About Me

See the world and make wonderful memories and friends!

I am an American student studying abroad in Paris. I love art, food, and traveling. I am half-Paraguayan, was born in Texas, used to live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and am currently from all over!

I have been studying French for many years. I used to be great at Portuguese but have forgotten a lot of it. I play the violin, and I love to draw, write, and cook. In college I'm majoring in art history, and I am interested in education and teaching. I hope to go to law school in a few years. I like to do all kinds of things -- cultural, fun, relaxed... I do not hesitate to try new things!

A place is only as good as the people in it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently joined CS, and I'm hoping to be able to meet new people and see new places!

I learned of CS through my brother, who used it to travel all across Europe during his college semester abroad in Poland. In exchange for the generosity he was shown during his travels, my family registered our house in Miami to host visitors to the U.S. We met tons of interesting, adventurous people enthusiastic about traveling, and I knew I wanted to join the community!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music, especially the stuff my friends recommend me, because I like to learn about people through their interests.

Favorite book: House of the Spirits. Also really enjoyed The Poisonwood Bible, and I love poetry by A.E. Housman and Thomas Hardy.

Great movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Clueless, Memento, the Fifth Element!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went repelling down a mountainside in Brazil when I was 10 years old. It was horrifying, exhilarating, and unforgettable.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Germany, Italy, Paraguay, Portugal, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, France, United States
