Hi! I'm Quentin. I work as a data analyst in a french startup in Paris.
I like reading and watch a lot of series. I fell in love quite early with traveling. I had the chance to travel a bit with my parents growing up. I realized when I started to travel alone the real value in discovering new cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like traveling alone. Discovering is around every corner. You get to stumble on people you would never have talked to, experience moments you would never have imagined.
Couchsurfing is a way to meet these people, stay with them for a bit, share their life and culture for a moment.
I played rugby for quite a while. I love this sport. 6-7 was my position. Before that I played tennis. Nice to play, cool to watch. Took me 8 years to realize I sucked at it...But hé that's life!
Nowadays I do a little less sport. I spend most of my leisure reading or watching series. I'm very interested in tech, innovation and everything more or less related to AI. Elon Musk is my guru.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to pretty much everything depending on my mood. From Oxmo Puccino to The Doors. From Rachmaninov to Ska-p. I'm a sponge. I love to discover. That's as true for music & books as it is for people and culture.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I volunteered in Bangalore in 2013. I was working in a slum to help bring children back to governmental school. Life changing experience. I wouldn't be who I am today without the people I met there. Backpacked around India in 2013 and 2015.
I took a dip in sacred Ganga in Varanasi. Sacred city. Sacred river. Although I'm not much of a religious person I must say it doesn't leave you unchanged.
I ate one of the strongest chili pepper Mexico can offer. Regretted it instantly and for the next 2 days.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've studied engineering for 5 years in Paris. I gave private tuition for high school students. I really enjoyed it. Teaching is a very difficult thing. Every student is a challenge.
I also gave basic math and english lessons to kids in a slum school in India. The idea was to bring them back to governmental school. It was kind of a buffer school before integration in governmental school.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've had the chance to travel a bit. I've lived fun experiences home and abroad. I'd love to share that with you. I love to take experience from people. Enter their universe. I learned to drop my culture and build new habits from the culture I was immersed in. That's what I love in traveling. I hope to build new ones with you!
