Back to Reality
I'm an extremely sociable and amicable explorer always looking to meet new people to share all kinds of fun experiences with in new environments. Last year, I hopped out of Europe for a while and had an awesome time discovering the best America has to offer. I spent my time with fellow couch surfing hosts who shared my passion for traveling and exploring new horizons, and showed me the way to tons of exciting opportunities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Having spent a couple months traveling, with CS as the main contributor to my experiences, I'm looking to give back the memorable times and fun it has given me to like-minded travelers looking for new experiences!
Up and down the USA, from Chicago to Texas. But always as a surfer, now I thought I'd give it back to the community by being a host.
My key interests lie in music, film, sport, and international culture. I've been pursuing a career in film as it was at the forefront of my passions, having worked in visual effects on Hollywood films and and have since moved to Amsterdam to work in advertising.
But most of all, meeting all types of people from different backgrounds is what drives my passion in all of my aforementioned interests, learning new things from them and building memorable fun experiences along the way.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies - Heat, The Thin Red Line, Gosford Park, any good fun 90's action fare and French comedies. And David Fincher.
Music - Everything I have on my iPod, always starving for more! (But let's say M83, Foo Fighters, Justice, Death Cab for Cutie, Explosions in the Sky, Alt-J, and Unkle just to get the ball rolling)
Books - Any good American literature from Fitzgerald or Hemingway for deeper reading, or some good old Stephen King for entertainment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Zambia - Jumped one of the world's biggest bungees, rafted down the mighty Zambezi and canoed with crocodiles.
South of France - Canyoning down the Alps.
Austria - Skiing down one of Europe's steepest, notorious black slopes in Mayrhofen.
USA - L.A. to New York, and back again. With all the amazing sights along the way.
