In it to win it.
I'm the kind of girl that relishes being able to walk to work and still have time to stop and smell the roses. I love riding my bike, making music and dancing until the sun rises. As I get older, I realize that these are the things that make me most happy. Fun fact: I was Fred Schneider in a B-52s tribute band called Mock Lobster.
Always wear comfortable shoes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment, I have no place to offer others, but I enjoy the classic American road trip. Having a cheap, or ideally free place to stay is definitely something I can get behind. I support everyone's desire to have the same while travelling.
Back in 2000, before I lived in Louisville, I took a bus trip down here to see a hard core show. I was only here overnight, but somehow I managed to make nice with the band and they found someone to take me in for the night. It was a college dorm room where I dozed off to the strains of Cannibal the Musical.
Cycling, making and recording music, singing, playing guitar, cooking vegetarian/vegan, crafts, hooping, dancing, taking walks and general good time having.
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite movies (not sure why): Rudy, Breaking Away, Away We Go, Shawshank Redemption
Favorite music: That's a loaded question, but here's the short answer. As a kid I listened to pop and hip hop, as a teenager I was a hardcore/punk/ska kid, then I started listening to indie rock, now I have evolved into a dance musicaholic. In reality, I still listen to all of this and I'm willing to give most any music a listen.
Favorite Books: Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut and The Stranger by Albert Camus. I also enjoy listening to anything David Sedaris has written in audiobook form.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to space camp as a kid. Sadly, it was not all it was cracked up to be. I've also been to the top of the Eiffel Tower at night. That WAS all it was cracked up to be.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a pretty decent cook and I'd love to share my talent by either cooking something for you or showing you how to make something. It won't have meat in it, though. Aside from that, anyone who hula hoops can show me any tricks they may have up their sleeves.
