Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Previously, I travelled and stayed in hostels where there were high concentrations of tourists and almost no one who actually lived in the place I was visiting. I felt that this really diminished the experience because the people, in any place define so much of one's experience. So I turned to couchsurfing to hear the locals' perspectives and to meet some interesting new people.
