About Me

I am an aspiring filmmaker currently studying Anthropology at university in Brighton. I also DJ and play a mix of London-based and African electronic music https://soundcloud.com/rabz-lansiquot but i love all genres of music and am building up my vinyl collection. I am also a member of a political arts collective called sorryyoufeeluncomfortable. We make films, art and workshops around ideas of identity politics (race, class, sexuality, nationality etc).

I grew up in the vibrant area of Brixton in South London and so am a city girl at heart! My family are originally Ghanaian and St Lucian, although both of my parents are Londoners born and bred. I love to explore new places and hope to spend most of my life travelling, making films and meeting new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am going on a trip with a friend and thought it'd be a great way to explore cities and meet interesting people along the way rather than staying in a boring hotel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking the Canopy Walk high above the jungle in Ghana was pretty amazing! We were way up in the trees and could see elephants walking underneath us!

The first exhibition with sorryyoufeeluncomfortable was also very amazing! We got 550 people through the doors in one day and managed to create something accessible to people of all backgrounds that was really enjoyable and thought provoking!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook for people (and have been told I'm quite good) so I would be happy to make up a feast!!

Great conversation about politics, philosophy, music, art, film, food or just a simple laugh. Sharing ideas and knowledge about all sorts of things is lovely!
