About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To cram as much as of East Coast/Mid America as possible into my 30 days after camp ends, on a super tight budget!

ABOUT ME

I'm a very friendly person, shy at first but rather quirky and bubbly when you get to know me. I love reading and writing and trying new things! I'm also a neat freak (some people call it OCD), and am considered a kind and considerate person.
I'm very open minded, extremely easy going and have learnt to appreciate the small things in life.
I've never travelled alone, but decided to bite the bullet and took off for summer camp in North Carolina this summer. I'm so very glad i did it as I've made so many amazing friends and enjoyed so many new experiences!
I now have 30 days to travel in the US on the wages i earned afterwards (not a lot) and i'm super nervous, but very excited!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm like a sponge. I absorb everything and everyone around me, and I've built this fantastical world inside my head where modern politics sits side by side with Alice in Wonderland, while i float down a river with a cup of Earl Grey Tea and Les Miserables in my hand. I love so many people and so many things. That's enough for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently hoping to find a few people to stay with while travelling the US, then hopefully host a few people once home in the UK.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None to date.

Interests

Books! I'd like to write my own some day, no matter how impossible it sometimes feels. I love movies too - especially Horror and Sci-fi! I enjoy visiting Museums, Historical sites and just generally absorbing different cultures when i travel! I'm also a bit of a comic book style geek, apparently (my first crush was Gambit from X-Men). I'll try my hand at anything, especially if it's remotely creative.

Music, Movies, and Books

You'd have to check out my Facebook - Rational Raccoon (a silly but funny story) - as there are too many to list!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't have a single amazing experience to recount so these are some favourites:
Stood in the Pantheon in Rome. Walked the twisting towers of Notre Dame in Paris. Whale watched in Boston. Climbed to Chimney Rock in North Carolina. Stood on the Bridge of Sighs in Venice. Driven down the peninsula of Greece. Shopped in original Turkish markets sipping apple tea. Walked along the city wall in York.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm. I'm one of those people who is not particularly great at anything, but manages to do most things to an acceptable level. I'm willing to learn pretty much anything!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States
