fix my bike
I'm a global citizen. I want to do good things in this world and enjoy myself while I'm at it. I love talking with people, riding bikes, learning, and letting unpredictable things happen.
We've had a choice. We chose rejoice.
Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage.
Scientists have figured out the meaning of life. It has something to do with protein.
I have had my dream--like others--
and it has come to nothing, so that
I remain now carelessly
with feet planted on the ground
and look up at the sky--
feeling my clothes about me,
the weight of my body in my shoes,
the rim of my hat, air passing in and out
at my nose--and decide to dream no more.
---William Carlos Williams
The meaning of life is life and meaning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couch surfing has been a great way to find instant community wherever I find myself. I've met a lot of my favorite people through CS.
I have a special spot in my heart for cyclists and returned Peace Corps volunteers, so make sure to mention that in a request.

Teach, Learn, Share
I great at fixing flat tires. I can teach you how to contra dance, how to make some damn good soup, or offer you some skiing pointers. I'd love to talk to you about linguistics and language learning. I'm starting a hammock and tarp tent project, so any help with that is appreciated. I want to learn whatever people want to teach me.
