Hi there 👋🏽 my name is Rachel!
I left Australia mid-August this year to do a yoga teacher training (I’m already a yoga teacher But always keen to learn more), but ultimately my goal was to move to Canada 🇨🇦
I’m planning to stick around the mountains at least until the Summer season rolls back around and I can enjoy some epic hikes. ⛰

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I want to meet 'real people'. While you can come across some lovely people in hostels, I think this is a more assured way of meeting some people you can connect and exchange with. Rest assured, if I contact you it is because I have taken the time to read your profile and something has resonated with me. I believe people come in and out of your life for a reason so why not push yourself out of your comfort zone and meet them! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Umm.... This is a hard one - I love anything fantasy/fiction when it comes to movies and books. I have a weakness for romantic comedies. Music - I'm pretty open and varied - you will hear all sorts with my iPod on shuffle.... My heart does lie with old school Rock/Metal though (but that's a pretty wide genre in itself...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had many amazing moments along the way of course but:

I've moved to France for a year, met beautiful people, contributed to different peoples lives and homes and lived out of a backpack the whole time.
Also volunteering in Nepal was an amazing & humbling experience.

I make a pretty good curry if you like spicy food - I love to cook in general actually. :)
