About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world through mental photos, not physical

ABOUT ME

Born and raised Midwestern girl who took my story south in search of sunshine. I spent my childhood comfortably in my hometown and have started to make up for lost time. I admire open mindedness and a sense of adventure. I love animals, Jeep Wranglers, and a healthy home-cooked meal. I consider myself outgoing and others consider me active. Everyone considers me organized. I believe a sense of humor will get you far in life. Vitamin D, vegetables, and my dog keep me going.

PHILOSOPHY

You have one mouth and two ears for a reason. In other words, listen. Listen everywhere. People have stories and their stories help you build your story. Anyone can talk, but not everyone can listen. Alsoooooo boiled peanuts and comedy pandora stations are great ways to pass the time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Caribbean Couchsurfing: learning salsa, booty shaking contest, overproof rum, and other island-style good times.

Interests

I love trying new restaurants, wandering with my dog, keeping things clean, thrift shopping, journaling, and sunny days. I have phases where I think I can cook and other times when I enjoy it. I have yet to manage merging these together.

Music, Movies, and Books

Ishmael by Daniel Quinn and various Netfilx documentaries and TED talks. Not much of a TV watcher.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I left on my Winter 2012 backpacking trip, I was told: "It's a great feeling, isn't it? Knowing you're leaving but not knowing anything more. You have no idea what you're about to see or experience or who you're about to meet. I believe that is the feeling those who travel are addicted to."

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
