About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Many things... Financial indenpendence to dedicate more time to my passions, travel around the world, continue growing and evolving..

ABOUT ME

I'm probably most known by being an inmensely honest person, as much as being mostly reserved and even shy at first. I Have an almost annoying sense of fairness an equality. I like to think I'm a person who's always thriving for perspectives and keeping an open mind.

Engineer by profession (working within IT & Telecomm right now), Musician at heart & soul; I try to gig (when time allows it) with bands or do some recording sessions, I also collect tons of music. I kinda hear all genres but have weakness for Psychodelic/prog Rock, Alternative, Jazz and fusion...I also like to read, mostly classic literature and epic novels... Huge film follower, soccer fan...A lot things more..

PHILOSOPHY

In a simple phrase: "Carpe Diem"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

-Arts in general, movies, theathre...Love reading..
-To hang with really smart ppl, with whom coonversations are interesting and easy flowing.
-Technology, specifically oriented towards telecommunications, IT Infrastructure and open source.
-Not a great overall sports fan, but I do follow soccer (football to some of us)...

Music, Movies, and Books

In means of Music and movies, I have some sort of "non-predilection" policy when it comes to different genres... I truly believe that most arts can be branded as "good" or "bad" (subjectively, of course)..

I could spend years in this section, but from the top of my mind:
-Favorite Movies: I enjoy stuff like Fight Club, Seven, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, The Departed, The Shinning, Full Metal Jacket, Dr. Strangelove, The Godfather saga, I've gotten a lot into stuff from Chris Nolan; the batman saga was genius, not to mention things like Memento, The Prestige and Inception; The Big Fish, Forrest Gump, American History X, and many more...
-Favorite Music: Stuff like Porcupine Tree, Spocks's Beard, Flying Colors, Blind Melon, Dream Theater, Pink Floyd, 3 Doors Down, Michel Camillo, SOAD, Thom Yorke, Buena Vista Social Club, Yanni, Vital Information, Dave Weckl, U2, Pearl jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Transatlantic, Massive Attack, Cream, Eric Clapton, Zappa, Genesis, Infected Mushroom, Jamiroquai, jethro Tull, Guaco, Focus, Muse, Pain Of Salvation, Radiohead and many many millions more..
-Books: I've enjoyed many classics, like Bram Stocker's Dracula, Frankenstein, Oliver Twist, Divine Comedy; also love latin american literature, stuff from Garcia Marquez like "100 años de soledad" (100 years of solitude), "Rayuela" from Cortázar, etc... I'm currently hooked up with the A song of Ice and Fire saga (G. RR. Martin), having a kickout of it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow... Perhaps one of the most amazing things I've seen is a full venue standing on its feet giving a huge applause after a performance... A quiet beach right after a tremendous storm and an open view of a huge city from atop the mountain during the night, one of the most beautiful views ever.. Hmmm ppl forgeting past wrongs with absolutely no reason for it.. Selflessness in the last person you could've imagined...Amazing concerts!...I Think this will flow more naturally face to face heheh

Teach, Learn, Share

Interesting.. Teach?, perhaps a bit of music, an instrument (I quite enjoy that)...
Learn?, anything I can. I'd really love to learn to cook oriental dishes, like thai food; also learn other languages (despite I do understand a little italian and french, I'm stuck with spanish and English); I'd like to learn some German and Italian soon

Countries I’ve Visited
