About Me

I'm a brazilian guy who currently is experiencing the life in the Central Europe. I'm a very easygoing person. I really like to help people and have someone around to talk. I'm a high talkative person and we can spend days just talking about everything. I used to be a very shy guy like the nerdy stereotype, but after years I realized that I could enjoy more my life if I just forget about my shyness and start expressing myself more offen. Now I'm a little less shy and when I get confortable I can start talking without stoping. So, be aware! lol

I love to express my opinion about everything, but I don't like to talk about religion, football, what's the best programming language, or any others so personal topics. If you want, you can start talking about those topics, but don't expect me to be very active in those discussions.

I don't like futball. Now you may have asked yourself "wait, is he a real brazilian guy?"... I know that everyone thinks that brazilians should love futball and samba. But it's not truth when thinking about me. No one generalization is truth as everyone knows. My personality is far from most of the brazilians most well known stereotypes. Of course, some of them are truth about my personality. I'm a very warm person, very optimistic, kind, respectful, happy, etc.

Ok, I will stop here for now... because if I write everything here we will not have anything to talk about (just kidding). :P :D

If you are reading my profile until here, I can tell you that I feel really glad about that. And would be a pleasure to meet you. So don't be shy and send me a message or CouchRequest. Don't forget to tell me what most caught your attention in my profile. That way I will know that you read it. ;)

Designing the future thinking about the present.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy to host funny and openminded people, I also like to participate to the CS meetings and hangout with CSers. :)

My better CS experience was in Recife/Olinda Carnival 2008. Such a great and big party... I meet many CSers from many different countries. I like make new friends that come over from other cities and countries. That is the best thing about the CS community.

I have interesting in all things about technology, entertainment, cultures, lifestyles, animals, art...
I'm very interestend in learn about how the life looks like in other places of the world. Other things a like is to have good conversations, walk and drawing. I'm very talkative, so we can spend a whole day just talking and I will not percept. :P :)

Music, Movies, and Books

About movies is very difficult to make a list. But some examples could be (it's not a top movies I like, the order don't means anything):

- The Matrix
- The Green Mile
- A Beautiful Mind
- Ferris Bueller's Day Off
- Waterworld
- The Sixth Sense
- The Terminal
- The Schindler's List
- I, Robot
- Forrest Gump
- Up
- Independence Day
... I guess you got the the pattern. :)

I also love some TV series. Few examples:

- Fringe
- The Big Bang Theory
- The Walking Dead
- Game of Thrones

I'm always open to listen, see, read something new. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The eurotrip I made last year (2012) with my friends changed completely my life. I used to live in Rio de Janeiro and in just a few weeks abroad I realized that the world is bigger than I thought and I wanted to move. :) In that trip had an amazing time as you can imagine.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work with technology, maybe if you want I can answer to you some question you may have about programming languages, how to the internet works, etc.

I'm not a good dancer, but as I'm brazilian I can try to teach you how to dance some traditional dance of the north of Brazil (forró).

I'm very interested about different languages. I hosted some people from Korea and they showed me how to say some very basic stuff like "Hello, my name is Rafael" and I really loved that experience. So, if you are interested I would like to learn some very basic sentences in your language and from me I can teach you some very basic Portuguese (Brazilian).

I love to play card games. So, if you are interested we can play some of my card games. Or maybe, you can bring some interesting game and we can play together. :)
