My name is Rafaella, I was born in the USA, but grew up in São Paulo/Brazil. I have always loved traveling and getting to know different people, cultures, languages and ways of living. When I was 18 I went to study in England, staying 3 years there and 1 in France. I studied International Development and Political Sciences, which only opened my mind to want to understand how each country and people grow as a nation, and how development can be done in a sustainable way. Apart from always volunteering with different NGOs in social and humanitarian matters, it has been 4 years since I have worked as a social and environmental consultant and have been inspired by environmental studies. I am moving to Germany next month to start a masters programme and am looking forward to meeting new people around the world. I love to do yoga, dance, travel, watch movies and play/listen to music! It has always been a pleasure to me to listen to people's lives and experiences and I hope coachsurfing will give me this opportunity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on coachsurfing mainly because I would like to travel and be able to stay with people who are local to the place. I would love to hear and share experiences with the hosts on the city I am visiting and actually meet and befriend different people around the world. Whenever I have my own place, I will become a host and it will be a pleasure to open my house to whomever visits.

I can share with hosts the languages I speak, yoga, experiences during other travels, etc. I would definitely treat the place I stay as if it were my home, so making sure I do not dirty it and take care of it with attention.
