About Me

CURRENT MISSION

always: to color the world :-) at the moment: survive the threats of some oral final exams of my master :-)

ABOUT ME

Well, I am an "unusual" appearance, very flashy, I LOVE colors and my hair is always dyed in unnatural colors...currently pink.
I love meeting people and exchange stories, experiences, cultural differences and similarities. I have spent 7 months in Los Angeles in an international language school with people from all over the world.
I like hanging out with friends, having fun, serious and not so serious conversation, partying, dancing....concerning music I am quite open minded but Techno or electronic music is my absolute favorite.
I live in a flatshare with 5 others. We have a community kitchen and everyone has his own room. So it really is a couch IN my room which I can offer.
My roommates are also open-minded to meet new people.

PHILOSOPHY

....that´s a hard one...seize the day is very common and I think it is a wise one.
But since there are probably millions of users with the same proverb I guess I should come up with something more personal ;-)
What matches to the context of this community is my personal experience, that we are all not so different to eachother, no matter where we come from. I hate stereotypes, which, as a German, I am quite often confronted with and which annoys me. I want to support removing borders out of peoples heads...and have a fun time :-) that´s the best I can come up with at the moment

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, first of all I heard about this project, know some friends with good experiences, so I thought I sign up and take a look :-)
Since I am currently stuck with studying (which I should actually be doing right now instead of letting me distract by this filling out :-) for my finals in May I can´t offer a couch right now, but for the summer it will be okay.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any experience yet, neither for one or the other side...but there´s always a point you need to start from :-)

Interests

I enyoy reading, although not the novels for my exams ;-) I love the genres: Science-fiction, Fantasy and Horror. My favorite of all time is Stephen Kings epic "The Dark Tower"
I also like watching movies and series a lot, especially funny and creepy stuff
I like to go out to clubs which we fortunately have quite a lot of in our not-so-big city (everything can be easily reached by foot from my place)
If I have time I like to do artistry stuff of all kinds
I am a smoker, meat eater and try to enjoy and life life to its fullest...

Music, Movies, and Books

yeah well, already mentioned it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I spent my semester abroad in Los Angeles I had lots of amazing experiences. I dunno if I should consider it an amazing experience...but I have been robbed at Springbreak in Tijuana...everything was gone, including my passport, car keys, wallet, phone...and that 3 weeks before I had to go home...and to handle everything to get back to L.A. was quite an experience :-D

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm....what do I have to offer...well I am quite talkative, so I guess I have some funny stories to share
Since I´m becoming a teacher I certainly have some knowledge about linguistics and literature in German as well as in the British/American field...but hell no...it is not that interesting and guess would only bore people ;-)
I can show people around, there is a famous and very beautiful baroque church in our town. By the way, Saarbruecken is near the French boarder. As already mentioned, lots of opportunities to go out (clubs, bars, restaurants).
