Hello all! About me...well let me just say that I actually hate about me sections because it's really hard to sum up your entire being in a few short paragraphs but I guess I have to try right?

So basically I guess I'll tell you a little about what brought me here. Although I went to college and have a stable career in medicine, after only about 5 years of practicing I realized that there was something missing. I would work for awhile and then start feeling very unhappy and depressed and then I'd change jobs and do it again. I'm just now realizing that I think the missing piece is travel and exploration.

I am and have always been a lover of travel and have planned the ultimate trip with my best friend this summer. I am very excited about this trip not to be just a long vacation but the hope is for it to be more of a "self discovery" trip. I know, I know the cliche find myself story. But it's true. I feel quite unhappy with what I am currently doing and I feel there is more that I am destined for. I'm not sure what exactly I expect from this trip but I do know that even on shorter trips I've had more clarity and a sense of calm. And if that is all I get then that is more than I could hope for.

Just to note below at countries I've visited, I am aware that Puerto Rico is more of a territory of the US rather than another country but it allowed me to put it down so I did lol

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well my friend and I have planned the ultimate trip (well it's the ultimate for us) from Europe, a little in Asia, and then Africa for 3 (ish) months this summer. We are so excited about meeting new people and exploring places other than what we can find on the internet. The best way to really get the best experience is to stay with and talk to the local people so here I am.

Skydived...twice! And hang gliding over a mountain. I know that's more than 1 thing but I couldn't help myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach...hmm that's a hard one. I think I can teach more like "life" things rather than actual handy skills although I am pretty good at doing hair

Learn...I love to learn. I'm very interested in learning about different cultures and people's lives. I'm also on a journey to become fluent in Spanish. Be patient with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As stated above, I think just sharing life stories is very interesting. Also sharing experiences, not just experiences that I've had in my life but sharing actual experiences by exploring with the hosts to their favorite places.
