I am planning on seeing and learning as much as I can. I would like to fully commit to seeing a place through the eyes of a local or fellow adventurer, and hopefully do the same for others in my home, Oregon. I am prepared to take risks and love meeting strangers.
I love food. I bartend in the USA and cannot wait to explore other food and drink cultures. I am always on the hunt to explore new places through their cuisine. Aside from that I am a huge film fan. Generally old samurai films, old westerns, and action films.
I'm not too stuffy, and I'm not going to show up drunk at your house. If I am being hosted on CS, your space and company are the most important thing. I consider myself to be a pretty good storyteller, and I'd love to make some new friends!
Also, puns are still funny.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Please let me make dinner or aide with groceries and we can cook together! I know how to make dark chocolate truffles and homebrew beer! I am an absolute botanical spirit nerd, so you might end up hearing me go off on that a little. recipe swaps for couch space?
I also have a million movie recommendations and am more than happy to chat film history.
Great, even when it's not. Long live Couchsurfing!
Stories. Both the telling of and the listening to. Crafting with strangers. I'll make you a damn fine cocktail. I can teach you some backwoods American games.

Music, Movies, and Books
A few of my favorite authors include Toni Morrison, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Herman Hesse, Kurt Vonnegut, and Philip Pullman. I love several others but you get the idea. :)
I can typically find something I love in all genres but if I am in charge of the music it tends to drift towards folk music. I guess I fall somewhere between Run The Jewels and Townes Van Zandt.
Top 5 favorite movies (this week):
1. Ghost Dog- Jim Jarmusch
2. Lone Wolf & Cub: Baby Cart at the River Styx- Kenji Misumi
3. Sunset Boulevard-Billy Wilder
4. Big Trouble in Little China- John Carpenter
5. House- Nobuhiko Obayashi
Biiiiiiig sloppy fan of Toshiro Mifune. The movie-thing is close to my heart. I love 1960s japanese cinema; Kobayashi, Kurosawa, Shiro etc. I also love kung fu movies; early Chan, Shaw Brothers, and John Woo. I can get down with film noir, old westerns, b movies. I'll talk your ear off.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Met Portuguese royalty while hitchhiking. But this is a better story in person.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make any flavor of truffle (within reason...let's not get carried away).
I can draw you a monster out of any object you like...try me...
Also I can cut your hair, if you dare.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a lot to say but I'm happy to listen too. I would love to cook with you, go out for a beer, sing karaoke, just draw and chat, honestly I don't think I'm a difficult person to get along with. I also tend to like a lot of people so chances are we're going to be friends. I'm not on CS for free accommodations, I'm here to invest in the risk you'd be taking by hosting me. I want it to be fun, nurturing, fun, silly, fun, genuine, and fun. ;)
