Always Open to Everything!
I believe in a united world!
I'm an English teacher by profession, though that merely describes my work, and in no way sums up who I am. I've spent most of my adult life travelling, working and living abroad in a number of different countries embracing extremely varied cultures, and diverse social and topographical environments.
Rather than being simply 'posted' abroad for a period, I simply 'took off' on journeys of discovery, and every 'journey' is inevitably one of self-discovery.
I’ve travelled extensively in India (10 years +), and have also travelled widely and worked in: Egypt, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Japan, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia..... and others... I worked for 8 ½ years in Saudi Arabia.
I was married for 14 years to a Turkish national.
I feel at home almost anywhere. I’m extremely adaptable. I immerse myself in the culture and social customs of the local community. I don't like to be on the outside looking in, merely as an observer. I like to be 'part of.'
Hanging on to customs which are inappropriate or impractical in the new social environment or climate is simply absurd.
I'm idealistic, principled and compassionate. I prefer to interact with those who share my altruistic vision and who have total integrity, though I do not like to be exclusive, and embrace everyone of good heart equally.
With warm regards to all, Raymond.
