Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Friends who took a gap year from school have highly recommended Couchsurfing! Ive always wanted to try it out.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I listen to just about everything, but I love alternative rock (one of my favorite groups is the Black Keys) and I like listening to jazz as well (I could listen to Blue 7 by Sonny Rollins all day long).

Movies: romcoms, adventure, I have a love hate relationship with horror movies. The one movie I would watch over and over again is Date Night with Tina Fey and Steve Carrell.

Books: Im reading Chimamanda Adichies Americanah right now and I highly recommend it! I like Jane Austen novels, historical fiction, biographies, memoirs and mysteries (I was on an Agatha Christie kick for awhile).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmm...can anyone write this graciously?? I did an honors thesis at university this year. That was really hard!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn to speak French and Russian, and how to take better photographs!

I can teach people tap dancing; I guess I could also practice Spanish with my guests.

I always love sharing my extroverted personality with people. I actually enjoy making small talk but I respect peoples solitude as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Im pretty familiar with the Boston and New York areas and Ive shown friends around these cities before. I like to bake for people as well. I think the most important thing I could offer is an open mind and a belief in being free of judgment.
