ABOUT ME

My friends would say that I'm adventurous, independent, honest, and down to earth. I enjoy knowing what I want and going for it. Peace Corps has taught me to take life one day at a time, because my sense of time here in Georgia has been almost completely destroyed.

Intereses

I really try to spend my time living in the moment. Not too long ago I realized that I kept thinking in the future, always three steps down the road. Recently I've been reminding myself to enjoy the little things. I really like reading a good book, drinking good coffee, or just chatting with friends. Pretty typical.

I can't really say what I prefer, because I usually enjoy all kinds of movies, music, and books.

In May of 2011 I went backpacking around China for three weeks by myself. Somewhere during the plane from Vancouver to Tokyo, I had one of those "What the hell am I doing?!" moments. After hyperventilating for a minute or two, I caught my breath and told myself everything would be okay. And it was...is.

Also, I wish I could replay the time I spent in the Caribbean. I haven't been too many places in the world, but I still can't shake the strange feeling that I truly belong there, like I could live the rest of my life on one small island. It was such an amazing feeling to realize that, because never before did I think it was possible to find a place that would make me so definitively happy.
