About Me

Hi! I'm 26 and I'm from Australia. I've been living in Avila, Spain (near Madrid) for just over a year now. I teach English in an Academy to kids and adults of all levels.

I'd love to meet people who are travelling (or even coming here to live).

Those who wander are not always lost.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

I have my own flat here and although I'm super busy during the week working, it may be possible to host people at the weekend.

I'm always interested in having a coffee and showing people around Avila.

I think this is a fantastic idea. While travelling around Europe, I've met some really amazing people through Couch Surfing.

Everything! I love cooking (and then eating what I've made).

I enjoy music, both listening to it and playing. I have played the Euphonium since I was 11 and I've just started learning how to play the Spanish guitar here in Avila.

What else? I love everything to do with yoga and meditation - it's one of the things that I can take anywhere and incorporate into my life wherever I am.

Music, Movies & Books

I recently read Shantaram and couldn't put it down -amazing book! I'm in the middle of reading The Gargoyle (recommended to me by a friend) and so far it's fantastic. EDIT: I finished reading it and it was great. I've now lent it to a friend and hopefully he loves it as much as I do :)

I love all different types of music -right now I can't stop listening to Asa (heard her at womad and have been listening to the c.d. non-stop since). Regina Spektor, Jack Johnson and Sting are all at the top of my list too.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Skydiving! :) It was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. The feeling of complete freedom and open space all around me was one I won't forget for a long time.

Countries I've Visited

Countries I've Lived In
